5. Volumetric Weight and Chargeable Weight

Freight charges may be calculated based on actual weight or volumetric weight, whichever is higher.

Volumetric weight is normally calculated according to the carrier, airline, courier, shipping line, or freight partner’s formula. The customer agrees to pay charges based on the final chargeable weight confirmed by TezEx Logistics or the relevant carrier.

6. Booking Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed only when:

The customer has accepted the quotation.
The customer has provided complete shipment or product details.
The customer has paid the required advance or full payment.
TezEx Logistics has accepted the service request.
Any required documents or approvals have been provided.

TezEx Logistics reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or hold any booking if the shipment is restricted, prohibited, high-risk, incomplete, misdeclared, unpaid, or not suitable for transport.

For confirmed bookings, TezEx Logistics may require advance payment before starting work.

Once advance payment is received, TezEx Logistics may begin processing the order, including supplier coordination, product purchase, pickup arrangement, warehouse handling, packing, carrier booking, documentation, or customs preparation.

If the customer cancels after processing has started, deductions may apply as described in our Refund and Returns Policy.

9. Cancellation Policy

The customer may request cancellation in writing before the shipment or product purchase is fully processed.

If cancellation is requested before processing starts, a refund may be considered after deducting bank charges, payment gateway charges, currency exchange loss, or administrative charges.

If cancellation is requested after processing starts, TezEx Logistics may deduct all costs already incurred, including supplier cost, product cost, pickup cost, freight booking charges, packing charges, warehouse charges, inspection charges, documentation charges, carrier cancellation charges, service charges, and administrative cost.

If goods have already been purchased, dispatched, picked up, handed over to a carrier, loaded, shipped, or entered customs processing, cancellation may not be possible.

10. Refund and Returns

Refunds and returns are handled according to our separate Refund and Returns Policy.

The customer agrees that refunds are not automatic. Refund eligibility depends on booking status, supplier policy, processing stage, carrier charges, customs status, product condition, and third-party deductions.

13. Product Sourcing and Purchase from China

TezEx Logistics may assist customers in purchasing products from China or other markets.

In product sourcing cases, TezEx Logistics acts as a purchasing and logistics facilitator unless otherwise agreed in writing.

The customer understands that:

Product availability depends on the supplier.
Product price may change before purchase.
Product quality depends on the supplier or manufacturer.
Supplier refund or return policy applies to the product.
TezEx Logistics is not the manufacturer of the product.
TezEx Logistics is not responsible for supplier fraud if the supplier was selected or approved by the customer.
Inspection, if requested, may reduce risk but does not guarantee product performance, durability, or market suitability.
Product images, samples, specifications, and videos are subject to supplier accuracy.

If the supplier refuses refund, return, replacement, or cancellation, TezEx Logistics will not be responsible for refunding the product cost from its own funds.

14. Supplier and Third-Party Responsibility

TezEx Logistics may coordinate with suppliers, carriers, warehouses, customs agents, brokers, delivery companies, ports, airlines, shipping lines, and other third parties.

TezEx Logistics is not responsible for delays, refusal, price changes, mistakes, losses, damages, penalties, or service failure caused by third parties unless the issue is directly caused by TezEx Logistics’ proven negligence.

15. Incoterms and Trade Terms

Where applicable, international shipments may involve Incoterms or other agreed trade terms. Incoterms are internationally recognized rules that define buyer and seller responsibilities for shipment, insurance, documentation, customs clearance, risk, costs, and other logistics activities.

If Incoterms are used, the customer must clearly confirm the applicable term, named place, and responsibility for freight, insurance, duties, taxes, customs clearance, and delivery.

If no Incoterm or trade term is agreed in writing, TezEx Logistics will only be responsible for the services specifically agreed and paid for by the customer.

16. Customs, Duties, Taxes, and Government Charges

Customs duties, taxes, import charges, export charges, documentation fees, examination charges, penalties, demurrage, detention, storage, port charges, terminal charges, and government fees are not controlled by TezEx Logistics.

The customer is responsible for all applicable duties, taxes, customs charges, import approvals, export approvals, and government requirements unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Customs declaration processes rely on accurate goods information and documentation. Customs bodies work with structured declaration data for import, export, and transit formalities.

TezEx Logistics is not responsible for customs delay, customs penalty, seizure, confiscation, revaluation, inspection, refusal, destruction, or return of goods due to incorrect declaration, missing documents, restricted items, unpaid duties, or government action.

If the customer fails to provide documents on time, TezEx Logistics may hold, delay, cancel, return, or store the shipment at the customer’s cost.

18. Packaging and Handling

The customer is responsible for ensuring that goods are properly packed for transport unless TezEx Logistics has specifically agreed to provide packing services.

Fragile, heavy, liquid, electronic, glass, machinery, high-value, temperature-sensitive, or sensitive goods must be packed according to carrier and international shipping standards.

TezEx Logistics may recommend repacking where needed. If the customer refuses recommended packing or repacking, TezEx Logistics will not be responsible for damage caused by weak or unsuitable packing.

TezEx Logistics may charge storage, handling, repacking, loading, unloading, and warehouse service fees.

Tracking updates depend on the carrier, route, customs status, port/airport status, and system availability.

Tracking information is provided for customer convenience and may not always update in real time.

Delay alone does not automatically qualify the customer for refund, penalty, or compensation unless a specific written guarantee was provided.

22. Receiver Availability and Delivery Attempts

The customer must ensure that the receiver is available at the delivery address.

If delivery fails due to wrong address, unavailable receiver, refused delivery, unpaid charges, or incomplete contact details, additional delivery, return, storage, or handling charges may apply.

TezEx Logistics is not responsible for loss, delay, or extra charges caused by incorrect or incomplete delivery information.

23. Cargo Insurance

Cargo insurance is optional unless required by law, carrier, or service type.

The customer is strongly advised to request insurance for high-value, fragile, commercial, branded, electronic, machinery, or sensitive goods.

If the customer does not purchase insurance, claim recovery may be limited to the carrier’s standard liability or the applicable legal limit.

For international air cargo, the Montreal Convention liability limit for cargo loss, damage, destruction, or delay increased to 26 SDR per kilogram from 28 December 2024, where the convention applies.

24. Damage, Loss, and Shortage Claims

The customer must inspect the shipment immediately upon delivery.

For visible damage, shortage, missing cartons, broken packaging, or tampering, the customer must report the issue immediately and provide written notice within 24 hours of delivery.

Any proof requested by carrier, supplier, insurer, or TezEx Logistics

TezEx Logistics will review the claim and may assist in filing a claim with the responsible carrier, supplier, warehouse, or insurance provider.

25. Limitation of Liability

TezEx Logistics will not be liable for indirect, special, incidental, punitive, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of market, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss due to delay, reputational loss, or customer claims against the customer.

TezEx Logistics’ liability, if any, will be limited to the amount recoverable from the responsible carrier, supplier, insurer, warehouse, or third-party service provider, unless liability is directly caused by proven negligence of TezEx Logistics.
